Last updated: 09 Oct 2025
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of i-Legal (the “Service”) available at i-legal.in, operated by us (“we”, “our”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1) Who may use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for maintaining the security of your account.
2) Your content & license to us
You own the content you add (e.g., matters, notes, documents). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service. You represent that you have all rights necessary to upload and use such content.
3) Court data & critical disclaimers
- Not legal advice. i-Legal is a software tool. We do not provide legal advice, and using the Service does not create a lawyer-client relationship.
- Not for legal evidence. Data shown in the Service—including case information, cause-lists, and schedules—may be delayed, incomplete, or derived from third-party sources. It is provided for convenience only and is not a substitute for official court records or filings and is not intended for use as legal evidence.
- User responsibility. You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it for deadlines, filings, or court appearances.
4) Third-party services (e.g., Google Calendar)
Certain features integrate with third-party providers (e.g., Google Calendar). Your use of those features is also subject to the provider’s terms. Our use of Google data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy (see Privacy Policy). You can disconnect Google in the app or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
5) Availability & uptime
- No guaranteed uptime. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, outages, or failures of third-party services (APIs, hosting, network, etc.).
- No duty to store or return data. While we strive for reliability, we do not guarantee that content or settings will be preserved. Keep your own backups of critical documents and dates.
- Beta features. Early or experimental features may change, break, or be removed without notice.
6) Acceptable use
- No illegal, infringing, or harmful activity.
- No reverse engineering, scraping behind CAPTCHAs, or misuse of third-party data.
- No attempts to bypass security, rate limits, or access controls.
7) Subscriptions & payments
If paid plans are offered, pricing and billing terms will be presented in-app. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated in the applicable offer.
8) Warranties & liability
- As-is. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- Limitation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising from or related to your use of the Service.
9) Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law or to protect the Service or its users. You may stop using the Service at any time; you can request deletion of your account as described in the Privacy Policy.
10) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in New Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.
11) Changes
We may revise these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice (e.g., in-app banner or email) and update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
